Jefferson Elementary School would like to thank Mr. Richard Arkey (made a generous gift to our school to keep the project running) Hiro, Mary Ann,and Itsuko) from the Genki Ala Wai Project (they were on campus all of this week to teach our students about the Ala Wai canal and the importance of keeping the canal a clean and safe place for everyone). JES would also like to thank Mrs. Sutcliffe for taking the lead, with regards to this project. All classroom K-5 teachers and all students were provided with an opportunity to participate in the making of Genki Balls this week. Our Genki Balls will be stored in a cool area for three weeks . . then . . it will be time to toss the Genki Balls into the Ala aWai!
